We made it!!!
3 hours in a van to Hong Kong, 3 hours at the airport, 1 hour on the plane while delayed, 14 1/2 hours of flight time, 2 hours to get through customs, immigration, get home! The plane ride started to feel awful at about hour 10 - Junie didn't sleep at all before that and slept restlessly for a couple of hours, while I crouched on the floor of our bulkhead row since she would only sleep without being touched and so needed our two seats together! I hadn't really slept the night before either, so was really tired by the time the flight ended.
It took only seconds for her to start smiling and joking with the girls - sticking out her tongue as usual. ( I am enjoying a fabulous diet cherry Coke as I type). She jumped right in and has acquired Delaney and Riley as her personal servants - having them carry her everywhere. She was exhausted by 8 pm and I got her to sleep easily in her own bed after reading a story. My blissfull sleep, begun at 10pm, lasted only until 1am when the miss started crying. I found her crouched at the end of the hallway (I had put up a gate just not knowing if she would try to go downstairs), wearing a pair of Riley's flip flops that she found in Riley's room. She was starving - a banana, an apple, some almonds, a ceral bar, some milk, some water and five hours later she went back to sleep. I did not - feel a little crazed already today! She is doing just great, and the girls are so happy to have her here! They are really having fun together, and she is loving the swing set already.
Seeing the girls and Tom was wonderful! Missed them! Seeing June and Quinn together was funny - really made Quinn look tiny!!! Also, June is way more solid and Quinn felt like carrying a feather after carrying June around for a couple of weeks! Will post some photos of the girls together soon. Fear my typing may be crazy due to the lack of sleep so will post more later.
Can't wait to see pics! So glad you are home! Congrats to you all! :)
