32 days and waiting...

Waiting and waiting....

Day 22....haven't heard of anyone getting their LSC in less than 65+ days, so the wait continues.

LID

We finally have LID - 2/24/10. Now we wait for LSC - the wait time for this can be expected to be more than 2 months : ( But, we are one step closer!

DTC

While I am excited to say that we are FINALLY DTC (dossier to China), our dossier's arrival will coincide w/ Chinese New Year, meaning it won't get processed until the end of the month...meaning our travel is still really far away....

I800 approval

Our I800 approval finally arrived today - meaning that United States Citizenship and Immigration Services deems us acceptable to adopt a child from a Hague Convention country. We should have approval of this piece of paper from the Consulate next week, and then our documents will FINALLY go off to China, known in adoption-speak as DTC (dossier to China)!

Well, just when it was getting REALLY hard to wait...we got some new photos. And, we got a smile!!! Wonderful to -finally- see. Makes me want to SMOOCH this girl! Our dossier should (finally) be sent to China by Feb. 1st.

Some notes from her update:

She is child with a strong will, loves playing games with caregivers. Enjoys being praised. Can count to 100, sing, and recite a few ancient poems. Very active but follow daily schedules well. Good eating habit. Not a picky eater.

Sounds great to me!!!! Strong willed - if you know our house, you know she will fit right in.
